1. Who we are

petsitworld.com (“PetSitWorld”, “we”) is a directory of pet sitters and a guide to travelling and relocating with pets. The site is operated by Kirill Kulagin, who decides why and how the data described here is processed.

2. What we collect and why

We only collect data that you type into a form on the site.

  • Sitter request form (travel pages): pet type, the contact you choose to leave (Telegram, WhatsApp and/or email), your name and message if you write them, the city, the page you used the form on and the site language. We use it to answer you and, if you ask for it, to help you find a sitter.
  • Sitter application form (“Become a sitter”): name, city, country, description, price, Telegram/WhatsApp, photo link, services and languages. We review applications; an approved profile is published on the site together with the contact details you gave, so that pet owners can reach you.
  • Nothing else is collected about you by the forms: the site has no accounts and no payments.

3. Legal basis

Where the GDPR or a similar law applies: we process request and application data to take the steps you ask for (contract) and on your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the request form. You can withdraw consent at any time.

4. Who sees your data

  • Sitter requests are visible only to us. We may pass the details to a sitter only to arrange the service you asked for.
  • Published sitter profiles, including the contact details in them, are public.
  • Our service providers process data on our behalf: Supabase (database) and our web hosting provider. They are not allowed to use it for their own purposes.
  • We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

The site stores one small cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) that remembers the language you chose. We do not currently use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. If we add them, this policy will be updated first and, where the law requires it, we will ask for your consent.

Some pictures (for example city photos) are loaded from third-party image services, which receive your IP address when your browser requests them. Links on the site lead to other websites and messengers (Telegram, WhatsApp, taxi apps, official authorities) that have their own privacy policies.

6. How long we keep it

Requests are kept only as long as needed to deal with them. Sitter profiles stay until the sitter asks for removal. You can ask for deletion at any time (see Contact).

7. Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, or withdraw your consent. If you are in the EU/EEA or the UK you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Children

The site is not intended for people under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

If we change this policy, the new version appears on this page with a new “last updated” date.
